DIY Stove Made from a Paint Can, Toilet Paper, and Rubbing Alcohol Keeps You Warm in an Emergency
Above are the materials I used in the above fire video
Place the quart-sized heater inside a new gallon paint can with holes punched
in the gallon can so it can serve as a pot stand to cook on the smaller stove.
This works well as you can fit the smaller stove, matches, and other
accessories in the larger perforated gallon can and have a ready-to-go kit
when needed. To MAKE, REMOVE CARDBOARD TUBE FROM TP, YOU
MAY HAVE TO TAKE OFF ABOUT 1/2 INCH OF PAPER, NOW SQUEEZE
PAPER  AND FORCE INTO SMALL CAN. ADD 1-2 INCHES OF DIRT OR
SAND TO BOTTOM OF LARGE CAN. INSERT SMALL CAN AND ADD
SAND OR DIRT AROUND SPACE BETWEEN TWO CANS. Now slowly
add 1 pint of the alcohol to small can, just pour the alcohol over the TP,
wait a few minutes for it to be absorbed, and then light the stove using a
LONG match. It will burn for a couple of hours or up to 6 hours if you cover
the small can opening, half way, with aluminum foil, It can provide life-saving
heat in an emergency situation, but if using in an enclosed space make sure
you have some ventilation. For a total project price of around 10 bucks, you
may want to consider keeping one in your car trunk. A pint of 91 % alcohol
costs about $3.85
BURNING ALCOHOL GIVES OFF WATER VAPOR AND CARBON DIOXIDE,
NOT CARBON M
ONOXIDE, and it is the same alcohol used in indoor
buffet tables. MONOXIDE CAN BE FOUND AT  THE END OF YOUR CARS
TAILPIPE, THAT'S WHY NO ONE HERE WARMS THEIR CAR UP IN THE
GARAGE, OR LEAVES IT RUNNING WHILE DOING A SHORT ERRAND
WITH THE KIDS IN THE BACK, RIGHT ?    ?   ?    ?
